Drop off batteries at the township office during:
Planning Commission meetings-
2nd Tuesday of the month
Board meetings-
3rd Monday of the month

ALSO: Sturgis Township office, 26015 US-12 (across from Hamilton Harley-Davidson) will accept batteries.

NEW- A drop box has been installed at the township office.
You may use it for dropping off items such as, tax payments, and permits.
The drop box is equipped with anti-fishing capability so residents should feel secure in its use.
NOTICE TO ALL SHERMAN TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS

if you are a current property owner or are considering buying property in Sherman Townshp that has a house or cottage on it that you intend to tear down and build a new home in its place you MUST contact the St. Joseph County Health Department prior to beginning any of the processes required to start demolition of the present structure. This will assure that you can meet the health department requirements. St. Joseph County Health Department

You MUST also obtain a Demolition Permit. See the Applications/Permits page for details.

Compost Site Update
Residents may now purchase a pass to use the City of Sturgis compost site on Fawn River Road. They are available at the city office for $35.
Residents may be reimbursed for the purchase by presenting a receipt to Treasurer Laura Sshwartz.
